The trump administration has from the very beginning made it clear that they want to ‘Make America Great Again’. The first step to doing that is to deport all the country shoppers who live and enjoy on hard earning tax payers money. This is what exactly San Diego Police department is doing , they have gone after thousands of such country shoppers and dole bludgers and for doing so they have been rewarded handsomely by the Trump Government.

As trump had earlier promised that the police authorities who work closely with the Federal Authorities in deporting illegals will be rewarded for their work. Trump has kept that promise true and alive.Police has agreed to cooperate with immigration authorities, and have  won $250K federal grant

According to Sandiegouniontribune The Escondido Police Department was the only local agency on the list of 179 nationwide to make the cut this year with an award of $250,000 — enough to pay for two additional full-time officers for three years.

A police spokesman said the city has not officially accepted the award and it would be premature to discuss details.

In its announcement last week, the U.S. Department of Justice said 80 percent of the recipients of the Community Oriented Policing Services grant have agreed to cooperate with federal authorities in detention facilities when it comes to immigration enforcement — including providing access to immigration officers to interview non-citizen inmates and advance notice of an immigrant’s release from local custody.

“Cities and states that cooperate with federal law enforcement make all of us safer by helping remove dangerous criminals from our communities,” U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement.

The grant nominations didn’t completely shut out jurisdictions with so-called “sanctuary” policies, including Chicago, which received one of the largest awards of $3.125 million to hire 25 police officers, and Sacramento, which was among the handful of California agencies.

Escondido has earned a reputation for being tough on unauthorized immigrants. But Police Chief Craig Carter has stressed in recent interviews that he has no interest in turning his cops into immigration officers, saying they are busy enough enforcing state and local law and that it would have a chilling effect on the department’s relationship with community members.

Hopefully in the coming months more police authorities and immigration authorities will help Federal govt in getting rid of Country shoppers.
